Real Madrid have made an opening bid of just £13m to sign Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, according to CaughtOffside.
The Spanish giants surely have no hope of landing the 24-year-old for that price, despite him rejecting a new big-money contract to put United under pressure in this summer’s transfer window.
De Gea is now thought to be unsure about moving to the Bernabeu due to the presence of legendary keeper Iker Casillas, and that may be playing into Real’s minds here.
Still, it now looks possible that the Spanish international will not be making the move to La Liga unless it’s on a free next year, with United surely set to ask for closer to £30m for their best player.
