Arsenal have been given a massive boost in their attempts to sign a new goalkeeper after learning that Real Madrid are trying to persuade him to join move on at the end of the season, according to the Metro.

The Gunners have held a long standing interest in the 33-year-old, and are now waiting with baited breath to see what he decides when the time comes.
Casillas is under contract in the Spanish capital until 2017, and has previously stated a desire to stay at the club and honour his deal, but Spanish radio station Onda Cero are claiming that Real are willing to offer him a more than substantial pay off in order for him to join either Arsenal or Liverpool at the end of the season.
Arsene Wenger is said to be well aware of his situation at the moment, and will with up whether to make a move for him or not in the coming weeks.
