Two TDs on defense and two TDs on offense now. Is there anything J.J. Watt can’t do?

Texans DE J.J. Watt, the prohibitive favorite for NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2014, set an NFL record today by recording his 4th all-purpose TD of the season with a TD reception against the Cleveland Browns. With Watt’s TD reception, he became the first defensive lineman since 1948 to record that many TDs in a single season.
Interestingly, Watt now has more TDs on the season than the following 2013 All-Pro players: Bengals WR A.J. Green (3), Lions WR Calvin “Megatron” Johnson (3), and LeSean McCoy (2).
Generally speaking, a defensive player with offensive prowess has a pretty good chance of impressing the voters. In 2013, Jets DT Sheldon Richardson edged out Bills LB Kiko Alonso for Defensive Rookie of the Year in part because of his NFL record-tying 2 rushing TDs as a defensive lineman.
