Three straight years with 15+ goals and two Bundesliga titles have everyone wanting a piece of Mario Gotze. Will Liverpool seal the deal?
With Liverpool needing a major scoring threat this summer, the club may have gotten the “OK” to make a big bid for a big Bundesliga star.
According to the Telegraph, Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze has publicly stated that he’d be interested in playing abroad after playing the first six years of his senior career in his home country of Germany.
“I think that playing abroad might be a good experience for me,” Gotze said. “…new languages, new cultures. I might like it. Let’s see what the future holds.”
Gotze is a versatile forward and midfielder that has scored 29 goals goals over the last 87 league games between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. The 23-year-old German star also holds the distinction of scoring the only goal in Germany’s 2014 FIFA World Cup win over Argentina in the country’s 1-0 win last year.
