The Brazilian undoubtedly is not in Louis van Gaal’s first-team plans and is unlikely to be in the future either, making just two appearances this season, and the Red Devils have been eager for sometime to offload the 26 year old.
However, a single offer hasn’t been received and with the January transfer window coming to an end, Anderson looks set to remain with the club.
Since signing from FC Porto for £26m in 2007, the midfielder simply hasn’t impressed, and his visible lack of fitness has put him at the brunt of jokes from football fans.
Neither player nor club will be pleased about staying, but with no clubs interested, there’s little either can do by the end of the month.
