The Arizona Cardinals have been eliminated from the playoffs after losing in the first round to the Carolina Panthers, so defensive coordinator Todd Bowles is fair game for teams with head coaching vacancies.
Bowles worked wonders with the Cardinals defense this season despite enduring various injuries. Safety Tyrann Mathieu, outside linebacker John Abraham, defensive end Darnell Dockett and inside linebacker Daryl Washington were among the players who missed significant time with injuries, except for Washington was suspended for substance abuse.
For his fantastic work in helping the Cardinals rank fifth in scoring defense, Bowles will interview for a head coaching job with four teams.
These teams are reportedly the Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills and New York Jets.
