Arizona Cardinals outside linebacker John Abraham sustained a concussion in the season opener on Monday Night Football against the San Diego Chargers.
It seemed serious enough to force the outside linebacker to retire, and he strongly considered it after his injury. However, it has been reported that Abraham will hold off retirement and return to the Cardinals.
The outside linebacker has had a tumultuous offseason with a DUI arrest and his concussion, but he still has juice left in the tank, as evidenced by finishing with 11.5 sacks last year in his first season in a Cardinals uniform.
Here is a tweet from NFL Access announcing the outside linebacker’s return to the Cardinals.
