The Atlanta Falcons will be battling for the NFC South title in Week 17 against the Carolina Panthers, and both teams have a losing record.
Head coach Mike Smith entered the 2014 season on the hot seat since the Falcons finished 4-12 in the 2013 season, and the Falcons have a 1-4 playoff record in his coaching stint.
Reports are now coming out saying that Smith will be fired at the end of the season, but it will be interesting to see how this is handled if the Falcons make the playoffs.
