The Atlanta Falcons still have yet to hire a head coach after firing Mike Smith following a humiliating 34-3 Week 17 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
The Falcons had a chance to win the NFC South despite finishing 6-10. Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin and Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn are rumored to be leading candidates for the Falcons job.
There is a third candidate among the supposed finalists, but his name is unknown.
Albert Breer of NFL Network revealed the Falcons’ reported finalists on Twitter.
Falcons’ coach search now down to Dan Quinn, Teryl Austin and possibly one other candidate. Quinn expected to get 2nd interview.
