He has been released by the team as a result, but the Buffalo Bills appear to be interested in the journeyman quarterback.
The 35-year-old is reportedly in negotiations with the Bills right now. He has previously played for the Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions, Oakland Raiders, Carolina Panthers and Bears.
The Bills still have questions at quarterback since Kyle Orton retired, and 2013 first-round pick E.J. Manuel still has yet to prove that he can be a franchise quarterback.
Sports Illustrated revealed the Bills’ interest in McCown on Twitter.
