Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula has been in the fast-lane for the winning bid on the Buffalo Bills since last Monday.

I’m told tentative agreement has been reached between the Bills and the Pegulas and an official announcement should come today.

Graham later posted that the deal is effectively done:

Pegula was reportedly a front-runner for the winning bid since last night. The team will reportedly sell for between $1.1 billion and $1.4 billion.
The Bills were put on the market after owner and founder Ralph Wilson Jr. passed away in March. Wilson was one of the original AFL owners.
The Buffalo Bills have not reached the playoffs since 2000.
