Chris Copeland of the Indiana Pacers was reportedly stabbed outside of a New York City nightclub on Wednesday morning and his wife was also “slashed”.

According to the New York Daily News, Copeland was stabbed in the abdomen and two member of the Atlanta Hawks were arrested for getting in the way of the police setting up a crime scene.
Copeland’s wife was also “slashed” in the incident, and it has been reported that Pero Antic and Thabo Sefolosha are the two players that were arrested by police at the incident.
It is also reported that police have arrested Copeland’s attacker with the altercation taking place outside of 1 OAK club in Chelsea.
The Pacers star is in the city ahead of Indiana’s game against the New York Knicks, while the Hawks players are there ahead of a game against the Brooklyn Nets.
Both games will go ahead on Wednesday night, but it isn’t yet clear as to how serious Copeland’s injuries are after the attack.
The New York Daily News added that the incident happened shortly before 4 a.m. after an argument started between the Pacers forward and the other parties concerned as they were leaving.
Shezoy Bleary, 22, has been arrested after he pulled out a knife and stabbed Copeland and slashed Katrina Saltara in the arm and on the leg.
