The Cincinnati Bengals clinched a playoff spot with a surprising Monday night win against the Denver Broncos. They were able to do this despite wide receiver A.J. Green bruising his bicep.
Green was held to zero catches that night. The Bengals are hoping to get him back on the field in Week 17 since they will face the Pittsburgh Steelers for the AFC North title on Sunday Night Football.
Although the Bengals have already clinched a playoff spot, they still have an outside chance of clinching a first-round bye in the AFC.
The Bengals are reportedly optimistic about Green’s condition, so the Steelers will surely expect to see him on the field.
Albert Breer of NFL Network reported on the Bengals receiver’s condition on Twitter.
There’s optimism within the Bengals that AJ Green (bruised bicep) will be able to go on Sunday in Pittsburgh. Obviously, it’s a big one.
