The Cleveland Browns continue to have a troubling quarterback situation as rookie Johnny Manziel went down with a hamstring injury after having a rough start to his NFL career.
Brian Hoyer stepped in as the starter once again in the Browns’ loss to the Carolina Panthers, and he injured his shoulder.
Since the Browns have been eliminated from the playoffs, they have nothing to lose. Third-string quarterback Connor Shaw is expected to receive an opportunity to start as a result.
Hoyer is currently listed as questionable with his shoulder injury, so Shaw may get the call and is expected to possibly receive playing time regardless of Hoyer’s status.
