Washington Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy struggled in his team’s latest loss as they were shut out, 24-0, by the St. Louis Rams. To make matters worse, McCoy suffered a neck injury that may prevent him from playing Sunday.
Robert Griffin III is expected to possibly make the start, but Redskins head coach Jay Gruden has made it clear that he prefers McCoy as the starter going forward.
Fortunately for Gruden, McCoy was able to return to practice and may be cleared to play. His injury status will be revealed on Friday, so the Redskins should have their decision ready by then.
