Gary Kubiak Broncos – Broncos hire Gary Kubiak as their new head coach
The Denver Broncos have hired Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak as their head coach shortly after firing John Fox, who accepted the head coaching job with the Chicago Bears.
The Broncos gutted their entire coaching staff after an early playoff loss to the Indianapolis Colts, and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio landed the head coaching position with the Oakland Raiders.
They are reportedly interested in hiring former Dallas Cowboys head coach and Houston Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips to replace Del Rio.
The Texans defense had improved in 2011 under Phillips’ watch and has been a force to be reckoned with since, and Phillips previously worked with Kubiak in Houston.
The Broncos will look to continue taking advantage of young talent such as outside linebacker Von Miller and veteran talent such as cornerback Aqib Talib.
