Kicker Matt Prater was set to return from a four-game suspension after serving it for alcohol-related issues, but a shocking turn of events has occurred.
The Broncos have decided to release Prater and move on with Brandon McManus, who filled in as the starting kicker when Prater served his suspension.
Prater has widely been considered the best kicker in the NFL due to his strong leg and clutch ability, and he broke the record longest field goal by making a 64-yarder last year.
Here is a tweet from the official Denver Broncos Twitter account confirming Prater’s release.
