When Suh becomes a free agent, he’ll have interest in playing in New York, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Suh realizes the potential benefit of being in the Big Apple, especially with Jay-Z serving as his marketing representative. With a franchise tag that would exceed $26 million and the plug pulled on contract talks during the season, Suh is unlikely to to accept an offer from the Lions after the season ends.
It’s unknown if the Jets or Giants – New York’s two main teams – would have any interest. The Jets have a stacked line with Muhammad Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson and Damon Harrison. The Giants may be a more likely candidate with Jason Pierre-Paul as their only defensive star.
According to Schefter, the Bears and Cowboys definitely will be interested in pursuing Suh.
Suh was the 2010 Defensive Rookie of the Year. He is a 3-time Pro Bowler and 4-time All-Pro selection
