Will Muschamp fired – Florida head coach fired following the end of 2014 season but will coach final two games
The Florida Gators football program has fallen off the map since quarterback Tim Tebow led them to a national championship and a trip to the Sugar Bowl the following year.
Head coach Will Muschamp received a lot of heat as a result, and he was unable to hold onto his job through the 2014 season as he resigned following the season’s conclusion.
Florida is on a high-profile search for a new coach, and Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly is reportedly among the candidates whom the Gators are interested in.
Although it is unlikely that Kelly will leave the Eagles after two winning seasons, Florida will give it a shot.
