Floyd Mayweather reportedly witnessed a murder-suicide via FaceTime involving his friend Earl Hayes and his wife Stephanie Moseley.
According to TMZ, Hayes had phoned his friend on Monday morning to discuss his fears that his wife was being unfaithful and was in a rage over what to do about it.
The site reports that Hayes said he was going to kill his wife and while Mayweather pleaded with him not to carry out the murder, Hayes went on to shoot Moseley before turning the gun on himself.
TMZ suggest that Mayweather will not say how much he saw, but he acknowledges that he was a witness and heard everything that happened.
As expected, the boxing superstar is having trouble dealing with the experience after allegedly seeing his friend kill his wife and then himself, and it remains to be seen how publicly involved he becomes in the process moving forward.
50 Cent and Chris Brown were amongst those to reach out and offer their condolences to the families of Moseley and Hayes while the former also included his friend in his Instagram post with whom he has had recent troubles.
Reports have claimed that police were called to the Plazzo East apartments in Los Angeles after screams and gunshots were heard by neighbours and they will now continue with their investigation which will inevitably heavily involve Mayweather’s statement.
