Todd Gurley reinstated – Georgia running back reinstated after suspension but may not start
Georgia running back Todd Gurley will reportedly skip his senior season at Georgia and enter the NFL draft. The running back had an unusual season as he went from being a Heisman Trophy favorite to being suspended and injured.
Gurley was suspended by the NCAA for four games for selling memorabilia with autographs. He was reinstated after, but he tore his ACL right when he returned, forcing him to sit out the rest of the season.
Despite these obstacles, Gurley is expected to be a first-round pick in the draft. He rushed for 911 yards and nine touchdowns in just six games in the 2014 season. He had rushed for 1,385 yards and 17 touchdowns in his freshman season in 2012.
Here is a tweet from the Sporting News NFL Twitter account confirming Gurley’s draft status.
