The Buffalo Bills found their new head coach this past weekend. Now they’ve found their offensive coordinator in former 49ers OC Greg Roman.
The Bills have finalized a deal with Greg Roman for the same job in Buffalo. According to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports, the deal has been finished and will be signed tomorrow.
Roman took some criticism in San Francisco for being a little run-heavy this season. The 49ers went 8-8 in 2014, missing the playoffs and mutually parting ways with head coach Jim Harbaugh, who signed with the Big Ten’s Michigan Wolverines to be their new head coach.
Roman will join a Buffalo Bills team that is now missing a starting QB, with the primary starter, Kyle Orton, having announced his retirement at the end of the 2014 season. The team still has QB E.J. Manuel, who the team drafted No. 16 overall in the 2013 draft, but he has not developed into the franchise QB the team wanted and was benched for Orton in the middle of the season after a 2-2 start.
Early on Monday the Buffalo Bills officially announced that they had hired former New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan to be their new head coach.
