Despite ties to Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, RB Ray Rice will most likely not be heading to Indianapolis if reinstated.

The RB-needy Indianapolis Colts do not have suspended RB Ray Rice on their radar, even if he is reinstated before the end of the season.
According to Ed Werder of ESPN, even though Colts have connections to Rice with head coach Chuck Pagano serving as Ravens offensive coordinator from 2008 (Rice’s rookie season) to 2011, the Colts have no interest in Rice if he is reinstated by the league.
Rice is currently appealing the indefinite suspension he was given by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell after video footage surfaced of him punching his then-girlfriend, now-wife Janay Palmer in an Atlantic City hotel elevator. Initially Rice had been given a mere two-game suspension prior, but when the video went public, the Baltimore Ravens cut the former Pro Bowl RB and the NFL gave him the indefinite ban.
The Colts lost RB Ahmad Bradshaw for an unspecified amount of time on Sunday after he suffered a fractured ankle, RB Vick Ballard was lost for the entire season before it even began due, and RB Trent Richardson – who the team traded a 1st-round pick for in 2013 to acquire – has been averaging less than 4.0 yards per carry this season.
