Indianapolis Colts running back Trent Richardson has experienced a big fall from grace since being traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Colts for a first-round pick.
Even when Ahmad Bradshaw went down with a season-ending knee injury, Richardson was leaped over by undrafted rookie Dan Herron for the starting job.
Richardson appeared to have a promising career ahead of him when he rushed for 950 yards with 11 touchdowns in his rookie season for the Browns.
He was inactive in the Colts’ win against the Denver Broncos while being passed over for players like Zurlon Tipton. It has been announced that he will not make the trip for the AFC Championship either, reportedly for personal reasons.
Albert Breer of NFL Network revealed the Colts’ decision on Richardson on Twitter.
