Arsene Wenger may have denied Arsenal were attempting to sign Julian Draxler from FC Schalke 04, but one reporter suggests there is still a chance he could move to Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are still trying to sign Julian Draxler from FC Schalke 04 in the remaining hours of the transfer window, according to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri.
Arsenal-Drexler: Wenger can state how much he wants that it has been created by media, but Arsenal is still trying right now to sign him

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger earlier denied that the German would be moving to Emirates Stadium, and this latest development shrouds the prospective deal in further mystery.
“The Draxler situation has been created by the newspapers, not by me,” said Wenger in his morning press conference earlier today.
“He will stay at Schalke.”
The 20 year-old Draxler has improved year on year since breaking into the Schalke side at the age of 17.
Three years after his debut, Draxler has over 100 Bundesliga appearances, and ten caps for Germany.
He scored 13 goals and gave 7 assists in 39 games for Schalke last season, and with 8 goals and 5 assists already this campaign, he looks on course to better that total.
Whether he will do so at FC Schalke 04 or Arsenal remains unknown.
