Chilean international linked with move in Marca on Friday.
According to the Italian media, Juventus midfielder and Real Madrid target Arturo Vidal will command a price-tag worth €50m this summer.
Despite the 26-year-old signing a contract extension in December, it is understood that the Spanish giants and Carlo Ancelotti have identified him as an ideal transfer target this summer.
Vidal has regularly insisted that he is happy in Turin, but reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport on Saturday suggest that if the money is substantial, then it could open the possibility of negotiations between the two clubs.
The Bianconeri continue to dismiss transfer speculation concerning their midfield general, although it is widely reported that they could sell one of Vidal, Paul Pogba or Claudio Marchisio this summer.
Pogba has attracted the attention of a whole host of European giants this season including the likes of PSG, Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, while Marchisio is said to be a long-term target of Manchester United and Monaco.
However, if Madrid are to set their sights on Vidal, it is claimed that they would have to be willing to part with a minimum of €50m for the transfer fee, and a further €7m per year until 2018 in wages.
It is unclear as to whether or not that will deter Ancelotti in his bid to sign Vidal, but given Juve’s strong position with his lengthy contract, they will have no desire to sell unless the figures are substantial.
Coach Antonio Conte looks set to lead the club to a third consecutive Scudetto this season as they currently enjoy a nine-point lead over nearest rivals Roma, although there may well be some early concern regarding his squad ahead of next season.
