Giallorossi expected to dismiss bid as player not interested in mov.
Manchester United have reportedly made a €12m bid for Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi according to reports in Italy.
United boss David Moyes is said to be eager to add to his midfield options ahead of the transfer deadline on Monday, and has missed out on various targets throughout the summer.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the latest big name to be credited with an interest with the Premier League giants is De Rossi, who had faced an uncertain future earlier this summer.
The 30-year-old has been an integral part of the club since coming through the youth ranks, but suffered from injury and a loss of form last season which put his position in the capital under threat.
Nevertheless, after selling the likes of Marquinhos, Erik Lamela and Pablo Osvaldo this summer, it is highly unlikely that the club will even entertain the offer as they will see De Rossi as a key component for the season ahead.
Gazzetta even report that the player himself is not interested in the move, as he has been left encouraged by the new project under coach Rudi Garcia, where he will be given added responsibility at the heart of the midfield alongside Miralem Pjanic and Kevin Strootman.
As a result, Moyes’ search for a top class midfielder will have to go elsewhere with the English media suggesting that talks are on-going over a possible move for Everton’s Marouane Fellaini, with the 25-year-old potentially being reunited with his former boss.
