Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is reportedly planning to report to training camp and end his holdout.
The Seattle Seahawks hit their first major snag in the offseason after winning the Super Bowl when running back Marshawn Lynch decided to hold out.
Lynch has been looking for a new contract, despite having two years remaining on his current one. His current deal is worth $30 million over four years. Since Lynch has held out long enough, he has been fined $275,000 for missing training camp.
Lynch has been a consistently elite running back for the last three years, but he has carried a heavy load in that span with at least 285 carries in each of those years.
However, Lynch is reportedly planning to end his holdout and report to training camp. ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter broke the news on Twitter.
