Wallace signed a five-year, $60 million contract in 2013, but he has been a disappointment for the Dolphins as a whole and has reportedly been a head case.
The Dolphins wide receiver’s play has not been as productive since leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he sat on the bench in the middle of a Week 17 loss after allegedly quitting on the team.
The Dolphins are prepared to part ways with Wallace if he does not take a pay cut, and it sounds like a release may happen since he is being uncooperative with reducing his pay.
Bleacher Report reported on Wallace’s likely imminent departure from Miami on Twitter.
