Coach to be fired after footage released of him physically and verbally attacking players.
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights basketball team have fire their head coach Mike Rice after footage of him bullying players in practice was released to the public.
In a tweet by New Jersey reporter Tara Sullivan, the players were told in the early hours of the morning that he would be leaving the team.

The move seemed inevitable, after the damaging footage not only hurt the reputation of the team and Rice himself, but the entire athletics department at Rutgers University.
While the team will look to move on from Rice, and aim to build a better environment to succeed, the chances of Rice getting another major college job seems low, as players will shy away from competing for a coach that could snap at any time.
