Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been deactivated from playing football since he was indicted on child abuse charges.
This was for allegedly discipling his four-year-old son by spanking him with a switch, which was a tree branch without leaves. This left bruises and cuts on the boy’s lower body area.
The Vikings running back is expected to agree to a plea deal on Tuesday, and he may be able to be activated. However, NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport says that he will not likely be reinstated right away if the plea deal is reached.
Here is a tweet on the latest development in this saga.
If Adrian Peterson agrees to a plea deal Tuesday, do not expect him to be immediately reinstated & active. Maybe in time. Not immediately.
