Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was deactivated from playing due to being indicted for alleged child abuse.
Peterson had reportedly beaten his four-year-old son with a tree branch without the leaves with the intent to discipline him, but his son had received bruises and cuts in his lower body area.
The running back recently accepted a plea deal that will help him avoid jail time, and the Vikings are hoping to reinstate him soon.
The league is expected to take action against Peterson for violating the personal conduct policy despite him being out for a long time.
Here are a couple of tweets from NFL Network national insider Ian Rapoport reporting on Peterson’s expected return timetable.
