New England Patriots running back Jonas Gray was sent home from Friday’s practice for showing up late after oversleeping.
The New England Patriots defeated the Indianapolis Colts, 42-20, on Sunday Night Football. Running back Jonas Gray stole the show with 199 rushing yards and four touchdowns, and the Patriots seemingly found their new power back.
However, he may be finding himself expendable at the snap of a finger after showing up late to the Patriots’ Friday practice.
Gray overslept through his alarm and was sent home by head coach Bill Belichick for showing up late, which stayed true to the coach’s philosophy on tardiness.
Shane Vereen and LeGarrette Blount may receive more carries as a result since Belichick always tends to go with the hot hand, and Gray’s stock may have plummeted for his tardiness.
Here is a tweet from Pro Football Talk reporting on why Gray missed Friday’s practice.
