Coughlin’s contract ran through 2015 after signing a one-year extension in 2014, and the Giants are reportedly planning to give him another one-year extension.
The 68-year-old coach is the oldest head coach in the NFL right now, and he has led the Giants to two Super Bowl wins, which has kept the front office patient with him.
NFL Network reporter Kimberly Jones reported on the Giants’ expected plan for Coughlin on Twitter.
NYG: Expectation is that Tom Coughlin will sign a one-year extension at some point after he returns from Indianapolis. Combine ends today.
