The New York Jets lost their sixth game in a row after the New England Patriots blocked their field goal attempt to seal a 27-25 victory in a thrilling rivalry matchup.
This was the most heartbreaking loss yet for the Jets in their rough 2014 season, and the loss clearly got to head coach Rex Ryan as he reportedly punched a wall before entering his press conference.
Ryan may have punched the wall because he was upset that the Jets were not able to increase his job security, which has become a common subject in the New York media.
Since the Jets have failed to make the playoffs since reaching the AFC Championship in the 2010 season, Ryan is expected to be fired if the Jets have another losing season and ultimately miss the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season.
Here is a tweet from the official NFL Twitter account releasing the report on Ryan’s fit of rage.
