The Canterbury Bulldogs have reportedly lured Newcastle Knights brothers Sione, Chanel and Pat Mata’utia to Belmore.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting the three brothers have signed lucrative four-year deals with the Bulldogs beginning in 2016 after their current deals with the Knights end.
However, current NRL rules mean the Knights have until round 13 next year to convince to brothers to remain at the club.
Knights chief executive Matt Gidley says the deal is far from being completed however, claiming the three exciting rookies told him they want to remain at Newcastle.
“The boys have told me they want to stay,” Gidley told The Daily Telegraph.
“We have a deal done with the boys and registered (with the NRL) shortly.”
The Bulldogs have also been linked with the fourth Mata’utia brother, Peter, who currently plays for St George Illawarra.
