Notre Dame had a disappointing season after starting strongly with a 6-0 record and being considered a legitimate national championship contender.
Quarterback Everett Golson was labeled as a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate before he and the rest of the team had an epic meltdown that consisted of losing five of their past six regular-season games.
Golson was eventually benched, and backup quarterback Malik Zaire made the start in the Music City Bowl and led the Fighting Irish to an upset over the heavily favored LSU.
The Irish quarterback is reportedly planning to transfer, and he has LSU on his radar.
Bleacher Report revealed Golson’s possible plans on Twitter.
