Ray Rice, who has been under a lot of heat for punching his wife in an elevator, reportedly told commissioner Roger Goodell about the incident in June.
Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice has been released by the team and suspended indefinitely by the NFL for punching his wife, Janay Rice, who was Janay Palmer at the time since they were not married yet.
This incident took place in an elevator in an Atlantic City casino, and a new video from TMZ came out that showed Rice punching his wife in the face and knocking her unconscious before dragging her.
According to a report, the former Raven told commissioner Roger Goodell that he hit Janay in June, but the commissioner never revealed this as this information never reached the public until the video was leaked.
This is sure to put Goodell in even more hot water, and the players have already begun to publicly speak out against him. This combined with the NFL reportedly seeing the video in April may put Goodell’s power in jeopardy, and there is already speculation that his power will be stripped.
Here is a tweet from Sports Illustrated releasing the latest news in this outrageous story.
