San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has been listed as questionable all week due to battling a back injury, and the ailment has been revealed as serious as the week has gone on.
However, Rivers was able to get back to practicing with the Chargers and had an assuring enough practice to convince head coach Mike McCoy that he can take the field on Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers.
Rivers was able to make his normal throws, so his back injury seems to not be too severe, and the Chargers’ playoff hopes are still alive as they will look to win out and get in.
