The San Francisco 49ers are seeing their coaching staff dwindle away as Jim Harbaugh and the team mutually parted ways, and Harbaugh took the head coaching job at Michigan.
Offensive coordinator Greg Roman and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio have also left their posts. Roman took the offensive coordinator job with the Buffalo Bills while Fangio is still searching for a new job.
Former Denver Broncos and Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan is reportedly in the mix for becoming the new offensive coordinator. He has been in this position before as he served with the 49ers from 1992-94.
