Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch’s decision to skip the outset of training camp arose in large part from the belief that, come 2015, the Seahawks would be done with Lynch.
That belief has grown to the point where it’s nearly universal.
“Almost nobody, including Lynch, expects him to be on the roster in 2015,” ESPN’s Chris Mortensen said Sunday morning during Sunday NFL Countdown.
Lynch reportedly continues to be salty about his role and his contract. The Seahawks seem to have grown weary of tiptoeing around the mercurial and unpredictable Lynch.
Lynch has rushed for over 1,000 yards, scored over 10 TDs and made the Pro Bowl in each of his 3 full seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. He first joined Seattle mid-way through the 2010 season in a trade with the Buffalo Bills.
