The Chicago Bears have decided to bench starting quarterback Jay Cutler due to his recent poor play, and Jimmy Clausen will take over as the starter.
The Bears have become a dysfunctional team, and offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer even apologized in front of other players for criticizing Cutler behind his back.
After Cutler threw three interceptions in a Monday night loss to the New Orleans Saints to increase his total turnovers to 24, the Bears finally had enough as they fell to 5-9.
However, some players are reportedly uncomfortable with the way Cutler’s benching was handled.
