Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III continued to struggle and failed to capitalize on an opportunity to lead his team to a victory over the San Francisco 49ers although his defense held them to 17 points.
Griffin has drawn the ire of head coach Jay Gruden and the fans, and rumor has it that his teammates are angry with him. However, Gruden will still not waver in his intent to keep Griffin as the starter.
However, Griffin may find himself on the bench if his play does not improve since Colt McCoy has proven he can perform well as a starter. McCoy led the Redskins to an upset victory over the Dallas Cowboys, who are 8-3.
The return of left tackle Trent Williams should help the Redskins offense though.
Here is a tweet from Pro Football Talk reporting on the current state of the Redskins’ shaky quarterback situation.
