Arsenal’s summer move for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is almost complete, with the two clubs agreeing a £10.9m transfer fee on Tuesday night.

The deal is getting Gunners fans very excited. Many believe the signing will instantly transform Arsene Wenger’s men into genuine Premier League title contenders.
Chelsea captain John Terry has even said that he thinks Cech could earn Arsenal an extra 12-15 points – a statement which should worry Jose Mourinho, considering his side only finished 12 points ahead of the Gunners last term.
One man who is not convinced by Cech’s credentials is respected journalist Ian Ridley.

Ridley, who has written for the Daily Telegraph, The Independent on Sunday, The Observer and BT Sport, has suggested that Mourinho would not allow Cech to join Arsenal if he were still world class.
Cech suffered a fractured skull in an ugly clash with Reading’s Stephen Hunt in October 2006. It took him a long time to recover and he has worn a protective cap during matches ever since.
Ridley tweeted that many managers have said that Cech has not been the same ever since that incident.
Not feeling this love for Cech. Not champions’ 1st choice but can take Arsenal to title? Been iffy for while. Mourinho good judge of keepers
