The 19-year-old scored for his country at the World Cup against Russia, helping the Red Devils to a 1-0 win, and many European clubs have become interested in the Lille starlet as a result.
Barret claims that Tottenham are also interested in his services, but that Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool side lead the race.
The Reds’ Northern Irish boss has proven with his nurturing of Raheem Sterling that he can get the best out of young stars, and Origi could be the next of an exciting batch of young talent at Anfield to make the breakthrough.
