Arsenal transfer news
The 26-year-old has been in and out of the Gunners team so far this season, since returning from his long-term absence through injury. Liverpool have already shown an interest in the England international, who could now be allowed to leave.
Walcott wants an upgrade on his current £90,000-per-week contract, and wants a minimum of a six-figure fee. However, the Gunners are likely to demand at least £15m to accommodate his exit, should he leave this summer.
The England international has 18 months remaining on his current deal, and manager Arsene Wenger has pinpointed Reus as the perfect replacement. The German international was a target for Arsenal last season, but decided to stay put.
Wenger wants Walcott to stay, having offered him an extension in February, but has so far made little progress, causing him to look elsewhere.
