Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, club legend Didier Drogba and former Arsenal ace Gervinho all played key roles in Eden Hazard moving to Stamford Bridge.
The story was revealed in AS Roma coach Rudi Garcia’s autobiography, taking place when he was in charge of Lille OSC.
Then Chelsea striker Drogba phoned Cote d’Ivoire team-mate Gervinho in the Ligue 1 club’s dressing room, the phone was passed to Eden Hazard, who then found himself on the line to Abramovich.
