The Madrid star won’t be cheap if he does to return to Old Trafford.
Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is constantly being linked with a return to Manchester United, but it will cost the Premier League club £80m to re-sign their former ace, according to CaughtOffside.

The Portugal captain became the most expensive player in history in 2009 when he left the Red Devils for Madrid in an £80m deal – a sum which has since been topped by Los Blancos’ £85.3m purchase of Gareth Bale in 2013.
Since then though Ronaldo has openly admitted he would like to return to Manchester one day and reports are that the 29-year-old is currently unhappy at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
However, as a prolific goalscorer and the current holder of the prestigious Ballon d’Or award Madrid are understandably reluctant to part with their prized asset and that is why it would be so expensive for United.
Not only would it take such a hefty sum for the transfer fee – which would be identical to that which they sold the forward for, but six years on – but Ronaldo will also demand huge wages.
In fact it’s thought the Portuguese star would expect to be paid somewhere in the region of £20m-a-year and this financial outlay could test how much they really want the attacker back at the Theatre of Dreams.
