Manchester United are weighing up a move for Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann, according to reports.
The Red Devils looked set to sign Barcelona winger Pedro before Premier League rivals Chelsea swooped on the 28-year-old star.
It seems United are looking to extract some revenge on Chelsea by possibly making a move for Griezmann, with the French international having long been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
According to The Telegraph [via The Daily Mail], United are keen on bringing Griezmann to Old Trafford but the 24-year-old’s £56m buyout clause could put the deal in jeopardy.
Griezmann scored a sensational 22 La Liga goals in his first season with Atletico and his signing would come as massive boost to United’s title chances.
It remains to be seen, however, if United are willing to splash the £56m required to snare the signature of the former Real Sociedad man, or if Atletico are willing to negotiate his price.
