Ex-Bolton defender has been training with League leaders.
Gardner turns 35 next month, but showed some skill and speed today. Could add depth if he sticks.

The Salt Lake Tribune has reported that Ex-Bolton and Jamaica defender Ricardo Gardner has been training with Real Salt Lake, as the club look to strengthen an area they have looked weak in when first choice full-backs Chris Wingert and Tony Beltran were missing.
“We have to look at the results we had and ask ourselves a question whether we should be trying to get stronger in the back,” RSL coach Jason Kreis said. “Because when we missed our main guys we gave up a whole lot of goals. It’s an evaluation process we have to do, and we have to consider at least trying to get better.”
Gardner, a Jamaican national who played 14 seasons with Bolton in England’s Premier League, making over 400 appearances and scoring 23 goals, turns 35 next month and hasn’t played with the Wanderers since 2012 when the club were relegated.
